St Andrew's

   St Bridget's

     & St Nicholas

Welcome

St Andrew's and St Bridget's are C of E churches serving the communities of Backwell, Chelvey and Brockley. Together they form the Benefice of Backwell with Chelvey and Brockley, which includes St Nicholas Church.

The process of finding and appointing a new Rector has started, but during the vacancy the Benefice is supported by our lively Ministry Team, working alongside the church family and buoyed up by prayer.

When Jesus was born, shepherds wer astonished to find the night sky filled with angels singing God's praise. And before long they were singing too..

Centuries later, singing is still cetral to how many of us celcbrate Christmas. we invite you this Christmas to 'follow the star and join the song' together in Backwell, to discover the real meaning of Christmas.

Our Vision

To channel the search for God's light and truth, embracing many ways of being church
